Eksplorasi Faktor Pembentuk Kepercayaan pada Pemimpin (Film Mufasa: The Lion King)

The primary foundation of the relationship between leaders and followers is trust. However, building trust is not a simple matter because it is influenced by various interrelated factors. Therefore, this study aims to identify the factors that play a role in forming and increasing trust in leaders. This study employed a qualitative research method using the film Mufasa: The Lion King as the object of research. Data collection methods used were documentation and non-participatory observation. The results of this study reveal that trust can be formed by three main factors. These factors include the leader's ability, the leader's character or self-esteem, and the presence of others who trust the leader. In addition, this study also found that trust in leaders can increase follower work engagement and encourage the emergence of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), which can then encourage the creation of a conducive and effective work environment. The findings of this study can serve as an empirical basis for organizations to emphasize the importance of increasing follower trust in leaders as a strategy in creating a conducive, effective, and long-term performance-oriented work environment.
