Abstract

Program pemberdayaan masyarakat dan edukasi karakter anak sekolah dasar memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung pembangunan sosial yang berkelanjutan. Pemberdayaan masyarakat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas, partisipasi, dan kemandirian masyarakat dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, baik sosial maupun ekonomi (Suharto, 2014). Sementara itu, edukasi karakter pada anak sekolah dasar berfokus pada pembentukan nilai moral, sikap, dan perilaku sosial yang positif sejak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan masyarakat dan edukasi karakter anak sekolah dasar sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dan analisis implementasi program secara umum. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa program pemberdayaan masyarakat mampu meningkatkan kesadaran, partisipasi, serta kemandirian masyarakat. Di sisi lain, edukasi karakter di sekolah dasar berkontribusi dalam membentuk perilaku disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kepedulian sosial pada anak. Dengan demikian, sinergi antara pemberdayaan masyarakat dan edukasi karakter anak sekolah dasar menjadi faktor penting dalam menciptakan masyarakat yang berdaya dan generasi muda yang berkarakter.

Community empowerment programs and character education for elementary school children play an important role in supporting sustainable social development. Community empowerment focuses on increasing community capacity, participation, and independence in social and economic aspects, while character education in elementary schools aims to shape students’ moral values, attitudes, and social behavior from an early age. This study aims to analyze the implementation of community empowerment programs and character education for elementary school students as an integrated approach to human resource development. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method by reviewing relevant literature and analyzing the implementation of empowerment and character education programs in community and school settings. The results of the analysis indicate that community empowerment programs contribute to strengthening community participation and self- reliance, while character education in elementary schools supports the development of positive behavior, social awareness, and a conducive learning environment. Therefore, the integration of community empowerment and character education is essential in creating sustainable community development and improving the quality of elementary education.
