Publication Ethics

Equilibrium Point: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. All parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher, are expected to uphold ethical principles and professional responsibilities.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must submit original work and ensure that their manuscripts are free from plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and other forms of research misconduct. Sources must be properly cited, and all individuals who have made significant contributions to the work must be appropriately acknowledged.

Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously or publish substantially overlapping work without appropriate disclosure. Any conflicts of interest and sources of financial support must be declared.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for evaluating manuscripts fairly, objectively, and confidentially. Editorial decisions must be based on the manuscript's academic quality, originality, relevance to the journal's scope, and compliance with publication ethics.

Editors must not discriminate against authors based on personal characteristics, institutional affiliation, or other irrelevant factors. They must also manage potential conflicts of interest and ensure that manuscripts are handled appropriately.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively and provide constructive, evidence-based feedback. They must maintain the confidentiality of all materials received for review, identify relevant uncited work where appropriate, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest before undertaking a review.

Reviewers must not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for personal advantage or disclose manuscript contents to unauthorized parties.

4. Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism involving inappropriate reuse, fabrication or falsification of data, citation manipulation, or other forms of academic misconduct.

When concerns arise, the editorial team may request explanations or supporting documentation from the authors and take appropriate action in accordance with the seriousness of the case and applicable publication ethics standards.

5. Conflicts of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, professional, personal, or institutional relationships that could improperly influence their judgment or responsibilities. Individuals with relevant conflicts of interest may be excluded from the handling or review of a manuscript.

6. Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors or ethical concerns are identified after publication, the journal will assess the matter and take appropriate action. Depending on the circumstances, this may include publishing a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction.

7. Confidentiality

Manuscripts under consideration and information obtained during the editorial and peer review process must be treated as confidential. Such information may only be shared with authorized individuals involved in the publication process, except where disclosure is required by applicable rules or law.

8. Ethical Commitment

The journal expects all participants in the publication process to act honestly, transparently, and responsibly. Allegations of misconduct will be considered seriously and handled fairly, with due regard for the rights of all parties involved.

These ethical principles are intended to protect the integrity of scholarly communication and maintain the credibility of Equilibrium Point: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis.
