This study aims to analyze the effects of recruitment team diversity, selection process, and job placement on the performance of new employees at PT Kahar Duta Sarana. The main focus of the study is to examine how diversity within the recruitment team can create a more objective recruitment system and contribute to employee productivity. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The respondents consist of 90 new employees who have a minimum tenure of 3 months up to 12 months. The sampling technique used was total sampling (census). The data analysis technique used is Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) assisted by SmartPLS software.
The results indicate that, partially, recruitment team diversity has a positive and significant effect on new employee performance, with a path coefficient of 0.457, a T-statistic value of 6.294, and a P-value of 0.000. The selection process also has a positive and significant effect on new employee performance, with a path coefficient of 0.326, a T-statistic value of 5.031, and a P-value of 0.000. Job placement has a positive and significant effect on new employee performance, with a path coefficient of 0.369, a T-statistic value of 5.160, and a P-value of 0.000. Simultaneously, these variables significantly affect new employee performance, as indicated by an R-square value of 0.599. Based on the effect size (f2) analysis, recruitment team diversity has the most dominant influence on new employee performance compared to the other two independent variables, as evidenced by an f-square value of 0.480. The study concludes that building heterogeneous recruitment panels is critical to establishing an objective hiring process that directly scales up early-stage employee productivity.
