PENINGKATAN KARAKTER DAN KEPEDULIAN SOSIAL MELALUI LITERASI DAN PROGRAM SOSIAL

Abstract

The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) is a form of community engagement as part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The KKN program was conducted with a focus on improving character and social awareness through literacy activities and social programs at SDN Pejaten Barat 09 and RPTRA Malinjo, South Jakarta. The community service method consisted of initial observation, program planning, activity implementation, and qualitative evaluation. The activities included organizing the school library, providing education on cyberbullying and sexual harassment prevention, supplying environmental education facilities, and conducting social empowerment activities for the community. The results indicate increased utilization of literacy facilities, improved students’ understanding of character values and social awareness, and enhanced community participation. These activities are expected to generate positive and sustainable impacts for the partners and serve as a reference for community service programs based on local needs. A participatory approach encouraged active partner involvement throughout all stages of the activities.
