Abstract

Background : Performance is the result of work in terms of quality and quantity achieved by an employee in carrying out his duties in accordance with the responsibilities given to him. Of the several factors that influence performance, one of them is the working environment. Working environments are a place where there are a number of groups where there are several supporting facilities to achieve company goals in accordance with the company's vision and mission. Working environment that are not conducive will hinder target achievement and potentially threaten business continuity. Research objectives : This study investigates the impact of the working environment on employee performance at Indomaret Fresh, Bandung City. Novelty : This research offers novelty by using a sample of Indomaret employees of the Indomaret Fresh type who work in a shop environment that provides the most complete daily necessities compared to minimarkets or other types of Indomaret. Research methodology : This research uses a Single Cross-Sectional Design. The sampling technique chose purposive sampling and used the method of determining saturated samples. Primary data was obtained from collecting Indomaret Fresh employee questionnaires from four locations totaling 60 respondents.  Findings : In the analysis, the regression equation Y = 32,971+0.563X was obtained, and the correlation value was 0.662 or strong with a determination of 42.9%. The hypothesis test that the significance obtained is 0.000 < 0.05, thus there is a strong and significant influence between the working environment on employee performance. Conclusion: There is a relationship that can be said to be strong between a working environment and employee performance, and there is quite a significant influence between a working environment and employee performance. By increasing a good working environment, employee performance at Indomaret Fresh will further improve and the better the working environment which is also balanced by increasing HR capabilities, the target achievement will be achieved.
